Eternal Angel: Chapter 3 (Rewrite)
Sitting quietly in her living room recliner, Vanilla the Rabbit sipped on a cup of warm chamomile tea. With a heavy sigh, the doe rose to her feet, setting her cup down on the wooden end table beside her. Pacing down the hallway, she made her way to her daughter's bedroom, which had been vacant for nearly six months. Opening the door, Vanilla entered, glancing sadly around the young rabbit’s bedroom. Noticing a slight ruffle in her daughter's bedspread, the doe gave the comforter a gentle tug, correcting the minor imperfection. She then exited the room, her head hung low as she shut the door behind her.
Returning to the living room, Va

Black faded to blue as the Typhoon entered Mobius’ upper atmosphere. The ship glowed a dull red as friction heated its outer hull. Beneath them, a green landmass grew larger in their view — as did their anticipation of seeing home after their long journey. In the distance, Tails could make out the Green Hill Zone, where the home of Vanilla the Rabbit lay nestled against the hillside. Beyond that was the Mystic Ruins, where lie the fox’s own abode. Tails had expected to feel happier about returning home, yet he could not shake the feeling that something was missing.
Tails’ thoughts continually drifted back to Cosmo, re

Eternal Angel: Chapter 2 (Rewrite), Part 1
Five days had passed since Tails awoke in the infirmary and one week since the death of Cosmo. Limping through space, the Blue Typhoon finally closed in on the planet Mobius. The thought of returning home left the crew in high spirits. All, save Tails, who had remained in his quarters for the duration of the journey while accepting little food and speaking to no one. The young fox merely sat in his quarters, staring with sad eyes at the small clay pot in which Cream had planted Cosmo's seed. Using soil samples from the planet Greengate, the rabbit hoped it would encourage the plant to grow faster and stronger. Tails' only hope now rested insi

Chapter 1: Broken Dreams
Tails woke to find himself lying on a cot in the Blue Typhoon’s infirmary with a light blanket spread over him. How he came to be here, he could not recall. His last memory was of standing on the bridge before everything went dark. The fox assumed he had been carried, though by whom he was uncertain.
Rolling onto his back, Tails attempted to gather his bearings. To his surprise, he realized that the cot upon which he lay was, in fact, the same cot where Cosmo had lain when they discovered the listening device implanted in her brain. It took a moment for the fox to realize

Eternal Angel: Prologue (Rewrite)
It was quiet within the corridors of the Blue Typhoon. The only sound that could be heard was the engines faintly humming as they pushed the titanic craft through space. The halls, having once echoed with the warm laughter of friendship, now felt cold and empty. Upon the bridge stood a group of companions staring out of the main viewport, each wearing the same grief-stricken expression upon their faces.
Clinging tightly to the dress of a pink hedgehog was a small, lop-eared rabbit, holding fast to her older friend as she wept softly. Slowly, the coral hedgehog turned to face another — a male with long, cobalt blue quills. A look of des
He said it would last forever...
It was two weeks after his eighty-second birthday when the old, greying fox closed his eyes for a final time, never again to open them. Despite the desperate pleas of his daughter, age was the one thing the doctors simply could not fight. To the left of the hospital bed stood a vaguely fox-like creature, her pointed ears curved against her head as she wept over the slumbering form of her father, her long golden locks elegantly framing her smooth, noseless face. Behind her stood a broad shouldered, gray wolf, who placed his firm hands upon her shoulders in an attempt to comfort the inconsolable half-alien girl

Taismo: Afterstory - Episode 9: Tails and Cosmo
It was late evening in the Mystic Ruins, and the Prower household was unusually quiet. As much as they had desired it not to, the ninth day since the arrival of Cosmo's family on Mobius had finally come and gone. Soon the Seedrians would be forced to return to their ethereal plane, leaving Tails and Cosmo behind until they too passed. While Hertia and Lucas did their best to remain in high spirits, an irrefutable air of solemness loomed over the house throughout the day. Unsurprisingly, Cosmo seemed the most affected by this. Over the course of dinner, the youngest Seedrian remained completely silent, despite her family conversing around her.

Fleshy shapes undulated around him as the shadowy figure of Xemus stood upon the precipice of what seemed to be a vast, organic cliff face, an unidentifiable clear muck oozing from the sharp ivory stalactites protruding from the ceiling above, like saliva dripping from the maw of some gargantuan, hungry beast. For some time the shade stared into the abyss as though admiring the darkness obscuring the bottom of the chasm. Reaching out, he held his hand above the pit, his burning crimson eyes falling shut as he extended his senses, probing the blackness below. His concentration was broken when a round, fleshy portal opened behind him, accompani

One by one the overhead lights flickered to life as Tails marched rigidly into his hanger, Lucas the Seedrian hot on the fox's heels. Determined to fulfill his promise to Galaxina, the kitsune had extended an offer to his father in-law requesting his aid with a long overdue upgrade to the Blue Typhoon's auxiliary systems, hoping that the two might bond over something they found mutually interesting — technology. Naturally, Cosmo was thrilled, admiring her newlywed husband's efforts to try and make peace with her father despite their misgivings. With her mother's and sisters' approval, the six Petali set off to visit Cosmo's friend, Amy,

“Honestly, Father, you are being ridiculous!” Galaxina scolded, pursuing the Thorndrigan as he marched across the house, in the throws of yet another temper tantrum, “Is your goal to push Tails and Cosmo as far away as possible before we return? If so, you are excelling at it!”
“I do not have to justify myself to you!” Lucas barked harshly at his eldest daughter, folding his arms stubbornly as he faced away from her, “I’m Cosmo’s father! I’ll do what I like! I will not be criticized, least of all by you!”
“I have never seen you so juvenile,” Galaxina continued to

Tails gasped for breath as he ascended the wooded hillside, dragging slowly behind Cosmo’s family. While he could not rightly recall who's idea it had been to hike the forest surrounding the Mystic Ruins, he grew more resentful of them with each step he took. Being an inventor, it was not often that he spent his free time outside of his workshop, and when he did, he mostly flew. Unaccustomed to such rigorous exercise, Tails quickly began to tire, though watching his wife as she climbed the hill in front of him, clad in a cute pair of shorts, made the experience somewhat more bearable.
“Eyes front, boy!” Barked Lucas sharply

As the sun slowly descended over the treetops and the sky darkened, Tails found himself pacing nervously in front of the shack behind his house. While the kitsune would have rather been inside with his wife, a disturbing message from his communicator had forced him to break away from his family. The message, encoded with a military grade encryption, had taken him nearly an hour to decode. “System compromised,” it had read simply, along with the attached coordinates of his workshop and a time. Despite Cosmo's objections, Tails requester her to remain inside while he investigated, uncertain as to the nature of the sender. He did not

Taismo: Afterstory - Episode 3: Daisy
Thoroughly exhausted following their impromptu trip to the Mystic Coast, the Prower and Seedrian families slept soundly that night. Waking up in bright spirits, the family enjoyed a superficially amiable conversation over breakfast, with no reproachable commentary from Cosmo’s father, much to everyone’s surprise. Following this, Cosmo excused herself outside to tend to her garden, which had been neglected in lieu of her family’s arrival on Mobius. Following her outside, Cosmo’s closest sibling, Daisy, approached her younger sister with a distinctly unsettled look upon her face, opening her mouth to speak…

In spite of the visit from Cosmo's family, Tails had spent much of the morning isolated in his workshop. Understandably so, given his violent encounter with his father in-law the day before. Despite receiving an apology from the Thorndrigan, the fox could not help but feel a sense of uneasiness whenever Lucas was present. Not wanting to spoil Cosmo's time with her family, Tails decided to make himself as scarce as possible. Unbeknownst to the kitsune, one of Cosmo's elder sisters had witnessed him attempting to sneak out of the house. Breaking away from her mother and father, the meddlesome Petali, Starla, took it upon herself to investigate

"In the name of the Goddess, Gaia — how can two people sleep for so long!?" Bellowed Lucas, as the burly Thorndrigan lumbered back and fourth in the Prower's living room impatiently, "It's already passed eight o'clock!! How much of the day do they intend to waste!?"
"Perhaps foxes are nocturnal?" Starla pondered, "We know so little about Tails' species. Perhaps this is normal for him?"
"I warn you, Hertia, there's something amiss in this house!" Lucas continued to rant, his words sounding more like accusations than speculation, "He's almost certainly bedded our daughter by now!"
"Still your tongue, Lucas!" Hertia admonished, casting
